This week brought some mixed feelings to the fore. Our Senior Ladies brought the feel good factor, along with the bunting, to the club with their fantastic win to book their place in the Championship Final. Congratulations Ladies, and gentlemen, involved. The very best of luck in the final.
It was a more downbeat feeling for the Senior Men's Reserve team after their defeat in the final last Saturday, however, it appears a good time was had by all involved and that in itself is important in any sport.
The Minor team, as Oliver Plunketts, might just be feeling relieved as they drew with Alymer Gaels to secure a place in the quarter final. They go on to play Moorefield at a date and time to be confirmed. Best of luck lads!
The weather has been unseasonally warm and dry for the time of the year which makes training and spectating more of a pleasure. Our pitches too are benefitting even with the dark evenings drawing in.
At home this week, we have a busy morning tomorrow with the 2 U6 teams taking on Naas at 10.15, probably the last time to see this group live for this tour season! The U7s take on Roberstown at midday and the U14s have a tournament in the afternoon.
Tuesday evening sees our U11 boys out against Kilcullen and Thursday evening brings out the U9s who play Grange.
Training continues across all ages for boys, girls and ladies football and for hurling.

If your numbers come up, I'm sure you will be feeling doubly happy if you win knowing you are helping your club while you spend the massive jackpot that now stands at €5200. Joe may well be feeling anxious at the thoughts of writing a cheque for that much not to mention that slip that would ordinarily be an out-take if he wasn't doing the draw live every Monday evening at 8pm on Facebook!
Congratulations to both Dara O Maitiu and Anne Marie Higgins on their €25 lucky dip win.
Hopefully everyone has that Friday feeling and, whether or not you have a Crunchie, have a happy and safe weekend.
