COP 26 has once again brought climate change to the fore and this Conference of the Parties resulted in changes to how we live.  Less emissions, more walking and cycling and hopefully a much better world for everyone.

However, there has been a change in climate in Two Mile House GAA over the recent past without the need for anyone to fly in on a private plane.  Yes, what once was a Junior Football Club, Two Mile House has evolved to become an all inclusive Intermediate Football Club with a vibrant Ladies section and an award winning Hurling section.  Added to that we have upgraded our lights to be more energy efficient!

Despite a great effort our U13 girls missed out on their Division 4 final but they did themselves, their management and the club proud.  What more could we ask?  Well done to the team, Declan, Deborah and Tom.

The Minor Final was postponed for Oliver Plunketts as a result of Ballymore's draw in their Senior Men's County Final last weekend and we are still awaiting the new date.

The U23s started their Championship with a win last week against Round Towers, they are out again this evening against St Laurence's at 8pm in Laurences.  Best of luck lads!

Playing away to Balyna on Sunday morning,  our U15s continue their Championship campaign while our U17s are away to Abbey Rangers tomorrow afternoon.

Tomorrow at home we see part of that vibrant Ladies section take over.  Our U11 girls will play Balyna in the morning and the Minor Ladies play Eadestown in the afternoon.  After all the rain this week, lets hope they are both good clean matches.😀

Two Mile House Hurling Section have been awarded a Bronze Award at the Kildare GAA Club Awards Scheme.  A fantastic achievement that has seen the number of members playing hurling with the club grow steadily over the years.  Well deserved by Shay, Jon and Odhran, to name but a few.

While emissions may need to be reduced, the only way the jackpot is going is up!  It now stands at €5600, enough to buy a new bike or walking shoes for the whole family as we reduce our car journeys in line with government policy!!  Sean Coyle and Cormac Browne were the lucky dip winners last week, congratulations gentlemen.
