.......in the rainbow but not in the GAA! Despite an endless variety of colours in life it appears that both club and county colours are quite limited and so our Minor team have found themselves in a clash of jerseys with rivals, Newtown Gaels, for tomorrow's final in St Conleths. With both teams favouring maroon and white as the colours for their amalgamations, the referee has decided they need to change, so Newtown Gaels will play in Robertstown blue and white and Oliver Plunketts will play in yellow and green which fortunately are the colours of both Two Mile House and Ballymore Eustace. So whether our lads hit a purple patch, or see red with refereeing decisions, we wish them, Conor and Glenn the very best of luck. Why not put on your club colours and get out and support the team? Tickets, click on the link below, are €11 with OAPs/Students getting a €5 refund on the day with id. U16s are free.
Congratulations this week go to our U14s who brought home the Silverware when they won the Kilcullen cup in a newly created league to give games to lads at this age who were without matches due to changes in fixtures. This group also reached the quarter final of the County league, so well done to the players and to Gareth for all his hard work.
As daylight colours darken our fixture list shortens. This week we see our Minor Ladies play at home tomorrow afternoon against Kill. The ladies are going strong and hopefully that will continue.
Our U15 footballers are away to Balyna on Sunday morning at 11am.
In a change to last week's fixture, Oliver Plunketts U17s will play Moorefield over on the Curragh, in Moorefield, on Tuesday evening at 7.30pm.
We wish both teams continued success.
In all his technicolour glory, Joe will once again do his best to give away the big €5700 jackpot on Facebook Live on Monday evening. It was a family affair when it came to the lucky dip €25 draw last week with both Finn and Nathan Casey coming out on top. Congratulations to you both, a boys night out perhaps?😁. If you would like to bring some extra colour into your life, a jackpot win might just be the way to go. A reminder that the AGM takes place this evening (Friday 12th Nov), 7pm, in the clubhouse.
With only a short time left for us all to continue enjoying the magnificent Autumnal colours, we keep in mind those of us who find the darker days and longer nights difficult or, for whatever reason, are finding it hard to see the light or enjoy the beauty in the colours all around us. As a club we are here to help in any way we can, contact any member of the committee in confidence and we will do our best to help.
There are so many colours in the rainbow,
So many colours in the morning sun,
So many colours in the flowers
And I see everyone
