Blue Monday has been coined as the most depressing day of the year and for 2022 it will fall next Monday. Given the very tragic news relating to a fellow GAA member over the past few days, we would like to remind all members that the club is here to support, encourage and help anyone who is feeling less than their best. It is a priority for us to continue to provide a safe and secure place for all members and this year we are setting up a Health and Wellbeing committee to help promote a positive atmosphere within the club and beyond.
Every Tuesday and Thursday evening the lights at the pitch are on to encourage everyone to come and exercise in a safe place. We are all aware of the benefits of exercise, for body and mind, and getting out in the fresh air amongst friends and family has added benefits. A sense of purpose is also important to good mental health and setting achievable goals can also be of benefit. The Pop Up race on the 26th February could help set that goal, either 5 or 10 kilometres. You can sign up below or on any of the Social media platforms:

Run it, walk it, jog it, whatever works for you but enjoy it.
It would be nice to bring some good cheer on Blue Monday with a lotto win and Joe will do his best with a jackpot of €6400 to give away. Congratulations to both Niamh Corcoran and Carolann Dowling on their €25 lucky dip win. Tune in to Facebook live on Monday evening, 8pm, for the lotto draw. You can play online, on Clubzap, Facebook, Twitter or by clicking the following link:

Stay safe, look after yourself and take care of others as we remember in our thoughts and prayers the family, friends, pupils, team mates and club mates of Aisling Murphy. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
