The National Lottery, through their National Sports Grant, have allocated a grant to our club for the upgrade of pitches and equipment but don't be fooled this is not money for nothing! The grant scheme works on the basis of reimbursement, that's to say the club actually has to spend the money before it can get the grant and to do that the club has to raise the funds in the first place. We have already achieved this with the provision of new pitch lights last year. Our Strategic Development Committee are working very hard on putting together a long term plan for the club looking at further upgrading facilities to help secure the continued success of the club across all ages and fundraising to make this happen. So, while we celebrate the success of our application we cannot afford to sit around and do nothing.
The very early February start to the year is already proving difficult for the U13s, U15s, U17s and U20s who are all due to begin their campaigns this week. The U13s grading blitz in Hawkfield has been cancelled due to inclement weather conditions and U15s and U17s are finding it difficult to field a team on a weekend at the start of mid-term. Our own pitches are closed at this time because of the recent poor weather and this in turn makes training difficult for coaches and their teams. All weather training facilities are a priority for those working on the Strategic Development Committee.
Best of luck to Cassie Mallon taking part in the U14s blitz as part of the Kildare team, facing Dublin in the first match.
With almost 400 people signed up to take part in the Two Mile House pop up race next Saturday the deadline for registration was extended but will close this evening. Declan Kennedy and his team are putting the final touches to what is set to be a great day for the club. Hopefully, with Dudley and Eunice having done their worst, we will be in for brighter weather!

If you would like to get the boot in to the club we would ask that you bring the pair as one is not much good.🤣 As part of race day, Mark Sheahan has organised a boot bring and buy sale. You can drop off any old boots to the club, in good condition, on Tuesday and Thursday evening and come back and buy a pair on Saturday.
One man that was definitely dressed for the bad weather was Ollie Barry as he assisted Joe with the lotto draw on Tuesday evening. Ollie is in charge of the U13s and we are very grateful for the effort he, and all our coaches, put in to organising and training this group of lads, however, Ollie seems to have gotten his nights mixed up and we can only hope that he remembered that he was with the Two Mile House footballers and not the Naas rugby players!😂 We will be keeping a close eye on those tackles over the coming season. He did manage to pull four round balls out of the drum giving both Catherine Fogarty and Martin McKeogh a €25 luck dip prize, but no jackpot winner. Congratulations Catherine and Martin.
At €6900 the jackpot is there for the taking and you don't need to spend it before you win it! `Just click below, on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Clubzap or online and it could be yours:

Joe will be back on Monday at 8pm on Facebook live, not quite in dire straits yet, but still doing his best to give someone money for (almost) nothing!
