Everything is set and ready to go for the first Two Mile House GAA 5k/10k race tomorrow morning at 11. Almost 400 people are registered to take part and if you still haven't done so, there is a chance to get your name on the list with some registrations taking place this evening at the clubhouse from 7pm to 9pm, cash only! Whatever the weather it looks like being a great day.
Kildare Farm Foods and Open Farm, along with Carroll's of Tullamore have very generously sponsored the after race water, fruit and protein packs to help keep everyone is good shape. Both Liffey Contracts and Shannon Valley Group have been generous in their contributions towards the running costs. We are very grateful to everyone involved.
Kilcullen Gardaí, along with our own volunteers will be present to help steward the race and the parking. There will be no parking at the clubhouse, designated parking will be in the village.
If the race takes more out of you than you thought, then there will be no need to worry about dinner. Ginger's BBQ will be there on the day but it is advisable to book in advance. See social media for details.
If you feel you deserve a treat, or for the family waiting at the finish line to cheer you home, Facchinos bakery will be on site with tea, coffee and any number of treats to keep you going.
And if you have any old football boots, in good condition, clogging up your utility room, then why not do your best Marie Kondo on it and declutter? You can bring them along to the clubhouse this evening and maybe even get a bigger pair at a reasonable price.
We are hoping this will be the start of an annual run but, more importantly, we are hoping everyone has a great day.
All set and ready to go last week were 4 teams but, unfortunately, they didn't get out of the starters blocks. Poor weather conditions meant the U13s, U15s, U17s and U20s all missed out and it is not looking much better this week. Matches have been postponed for numerous reasons relating to availability and pitch conditions. A few good dry days will make all the difference, so perhaps anyone with the Child of Prague might just dust it down and put it out!
Joe hasn't quite been on the mark when it comes to giving away the lotto jackpot, although he does assure me he is set and ready to go. Standing at a fabulous €7000, it would certainly make a nice prize for anyone. Dan Reilly and David Hanly did well to get €25 in the lucky dip draws, congratulations gentlemen. For the chance to win that €7000 jackpot just click on the link below or on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, online or on Clubzap, they will all bring you one step closer to a very big prize....maybe!!!

So even if you are not running tomorrow, why not come down and be a part of the day. Have a coffee and cake, a burger and chips, or just a chat and laugh while you cheer on those who will come from far and near to take part in the very first
