....tu focal eile, and I not know no focal at all!!

Our recently appointed, and very enthusiastic,  Irish Language and Culture Officer, Rachael Ui Bhaoill, has hit the ground running since joining the committee.  As part of the campaign to achieve a Bronze medal for the use of Gaelige sa club, she has already researched and clarified the correct spelling of our club.  See if you can spot the difference in our crest!  We are in the process of transitioning over to the use of this crest across the whole club.

To achieve the Bonn Cré - Umha, tá liosta gniomhaíochta molta le deanamh againn. There is no judgment here, it's not about knowing your aimsir chaite from your modh coinníollach, just a cúpla focal anseo is ansiúd.  You will notice signs as gaelige popping up around the clubhouse.  We are hoping to enter a foireann in the inaugural Bliots na Fondúireachta Cill Dara, comórtas peile in Allenwood next Saturday October 22nd.  So all of you over 17 can relive the good times had in the Gaeltacht and have some fun.  We need a squad of 10, 7 a side team of 4 cailiní agus 3 buachaillí. Contact Rachael, 084 1417543, to take part.  For everyone else, you can help by taking part in the Gaelige survey

Comhgairdeas mor to the Senior Reserve team that won their Championship Final last Friday evening against Cill Chuilinn.  A great win for these gentlemen who have played some great football over the last few years.  Well done also to our U12 girls who finished up their league against a strong Roberstown team.  Thanks to players, parents and management for all the effort put in over the season.

Tomorrow morning, the U10 cailiní will play Sallins at home with the U11 buachaillí taking on Round Towers in the afternoon.  Sunday will be busy as well with the U8 hurlers strutting their stuff against Kill in the morning and U14 footballers taking over at noon against Baile Mór.

Tá níos mo nuacht maith againn!! Our very hard-working PRO, Deborah, is being recognised for all her hard work as she has been named the Beko Club Champion for Kildare.  A much-deserved award which will be presented to her at a ceremony in Áras Laighean in November.  As well as covering the role of PRO, Deborah is involved in training the U14 girls and spearheads the social committee.  She was at the forefront of all social activities around the club from the Pop Up 5k, Darkness into Light walk, Club BBQ and most recently the very successful Dinner dance to name but a few of the things she does.  Congratulations Deborah!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The House fairly rocked the boat at the dinner dance last Saturday night.  A great night was had by all, with "silverware" to show off from the U15s league and Féile, to the Minors and Senior Reserves. The young people of the club showed us older folks how to do it, or was that the other way around?😂😉💃🕺 A million buíochas to all who donated spot prizes for the night, we hope the winners enjoy their prize.

In more nuacht maith, Teach an Dá Mhíle were successful in their application for the grant under the Rural Development Scheme.  We are now in a position to put in a fully fitted kitchen and some lounge facilities which will enhance the use of the club for teams, members and the wider community as we continue to welcome the ICA, our friends in the Dunshane community and others.

Photographic evidence of Joe celebrating on the dance floor, not having given away the massive €10000 jackpot, will not be made public but he will be back in business mode on Monday night as he gives it another go. Dara O Maitiu and Karen Grant probably did a little dance when they were picked as lucky draw winners last week.  Play the lotto here:
