You know every now and then I think you might like to hear something from us because we never ever do nothing! You may well have been given a lifetime of promises and a world of dreams but now some of those promises are becoming real. Our Astro is up and running, the top pitch is undergoing the final stages of development, the fence for the retaining wall is due next week along with the ball stop nets and posts. That is not the end though, we still have a way to go and work to do on our main pitch to get us through the autumn and winter on to next year. So, we are calling on you when we need you but we don't need another hero, we just need your help.
We are aiming to make the weekend of June16th/17th better than all the rest! The club will be holding a Walkathon to raise much needed funds to help us finish what we started. Different groups across the club will do their own thing to raise some money and families should only regard one sponsorship card should more come home in the bottom of bags, we don't have time for over loaded lines!! We will be joined by our friends, and neighbours, in Dunshane Camphill at some point over the weekend and are proud (Mary) to be able to make a contribution to their wonderful work. We hope to include other groups in the parish and even bring back some of the old-timers to the club. The official opening of the Astro, with a special blessing, will take place at the end of the walkathon on the Saturday evening and will be followed by the annual BBQ to get the summer off to a sizzling start. I can't stand the rain, and am not too fond of the thunderdome, but whether times are good or bad we oughta stay together and make this event simply the best!
The Astro needs regular brushing, and we do hope some of the funds raised at the walkathon will enable us to purchase the proper brush. While the contractor is on site, he has agreed to brush it so to it will need to be closed to enable this brushing to take place. Once we have our own brush, it is important that the surface is brushed regularly by groups using it maintain the quality of the surface.
Keeping a Goldeneye on the finances and the lotto balls, Joe is still struggling with the €10,000 jackpot that is weighing him down at this stage. He will, of course go live again on Monday in the hope of finding the lucky numbers, so you better be good to him and play online, on social media or here by clicking on the link below:

The very best of luck to every girl, boy, footballer and hurler lining out in the Two Mile House colours over the coming week.
Maybe we ask;
What do we do with our lives
We leave only a mark
Will our story shine like a light or end in the dark?
Give it all or nothing
Let's stick together and make our club simply the best, better than all the rest!
